We know from our experience as cyber security practitioners, that large companies with deep pockets spend millions of dollars on cyber security and data protection. As consumers of healthcare services, we wondered: “How do private practice physicians, dentists, orthodontists, and other healthcare professionals – each with the responsibilities that owning and running their own businesses entail – cope with their HIPAA compliance monitoring, and manage their data security risks in a cost-effective and efficient way?”

Our research revealed that no other affordable solution existed in the marketplace flexible enough to serve both the compliance and data security needs of private practice healthcare professionals, and other small businesses.

Kristofer (Kris) Osterhout

Co-Founder and CTO/COO

Kristofer is co-founder and CTO of Zekteck. Kris brings to the company over 10 years of technology management and entrepreneurship experience. Prior to starting Zekteck, Kris led global, cross-functional teams for software configuration and deployment initiatives at Schluter Systems, and designed custom applications for data-critical processes as an independent developer for Klondex Mines’ GeoSciences division. He also served as the Director of Technology for successful SaaS company ShortStack Labs.

Kris is a full stack programming, business intelligence, and database design specialist with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets. Kris has managed a broad range of technology processes from help desk operations and system administration, to software design and implementation.

Kris has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and information systems from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a native of Reno, Nevada where he currently resides.

Lewis Mandichak

Co-Founder and CEO

Lewis is co-founder and CEO of Zekteck where he manages financials, strategy, and partnership development. Lewis has years of experience in information security, specifically identity and access management. He is excited to bring that experience to Zekteck, a company focused on serving private healthcare providers and small businesses.

Lewis began his career as a Junior Consultant at Fishnet Security, now Optiv Security. At Fishnet, he focused on identity and access management strategy, working with clients across many sectors including technology, banking, government, and healthcare. As a consultant, Lewis found that clients with deep pockets had the ability to spend millions of dollars on cyber security, data protection, and HIPAA compliance. He recognized that private practice healthcare providers and small businesses deserved an accessible security solution. This led Lewis to focus on creating Zekteck, an affordable online platform to centrally manage HIPAA compliance and information security.

Lewis has a master’s degree in information security from Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Angela Bennett Bagby

CFO

Angela joined Zekteck as CFO in July 2020. Angela directs operational finance strategy development and execution. Angela has 7 years of experience in finance, internal audit, and project management.

Angela began her career at EY in Internal Audit Advisory Services, concentrating on internal control framework development, optimization, and rationalization. Later, she worked as a Finance Transformation Project Manager with PwC as an independent contractor. At PwC, Angela helped her healthcare client develop a new Global Finance Compliance Division. Angela also has prior industry experience at General Motors where she focused on continuous process improvement as part of the Controllership and Finance Shared Services Divisions.

Angela is originally from metro-Detroit, and currently resides in San Diego. She is a CPA and received her bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Albion College.
